Trans Texas Tennis, Ltd. recently completed construction work on two city-owned tennis centers – Ralph Wultz Tennis Center at Riverside Park in Wichita KS, and the design-build of the Ken Brown Tennis Center at Riverside Park in Independence KS.

The Wichita project included demolition of four existing courts, fence, sidewalks, and lighting, and the construction of three new post-tensioned concrete courts, surface, fence, sidewalks, site electric & mechanical, and infrastructure for a new bubble. The city then installed a new bubble over the completed courts.

The Independence project utilized a design/build delivery system, and included demolition of six existing courts, fence, sidewalk, and lighting,. The new work included reworking the sub-base for six new larger courts, installing 12” of new base rock, perimeter drainage, a post-tensioned concrete slab, surface, fence, practice wall, lighting, ADA compliant sidewalks, and improvements to the existing grandstand. Ken Brown, tennis director, said “the new courts are outstanding! We are thrilled with the high-quality job that Trans Texas Tennis did in completing our courts. We can now host USTA sponsored events” The new courts were completed on time and within budget.
